Nicholas Godfrey-Cole

Nicholas Godfrey-Cole managed florists shops in Cambridgeshire for many years before establishing his business in Hunstanton – bringing to the town a flair and understanding of floral art that is rare indeed.

In 2002 Scent with Love started trading in less than half the space it occupies now, Nicholas says that he always concentrates on producing a quality product which is matched by a quality service and this means that he has built a loyal customer base which has enabled him to expand the business.

Demonstrating has always been part of Nicholas’s work and he gives of his time generously to help local causes and organisations. On Wednesday 28th July 2010, at the 129th Royal Sandringham flower show, Nicholas completed commissioned pieces of the Royal feathers and a Rose Arch for His Royal Highness, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. He also presented three, forty-five minute floristry demonstrations in the Gardeners Forum Marquee.

Nicholas is an integral part of much of what happens in the town of Hunstanton; he sings in the community choir, was part of the team that organised the 2009 Hunstanton Carnival and is involved in the flower festivals at his local churches. He also finds time to host charity coffee mornings and Christmas open days in the shop.

Nicholas’ work has been enjoyed by many people and he has been commissioned to provide flowers for important events on many occasions. In 2009, he was asked to supply flowers for Her Majesty the Queen at an event for Campaign Care 94, a charity that Nicholas supports throughout the year.
